Altcloak
Epic Games

Do I need a new email for a second Epic Games account?

Yes. Epic allows one account per email address, so a second Epic account, for Fortnite or the free games, needs a second address. It does not have to be a new inbox. An alt email that sends everything to your main email does it, and Epic's codes arrive where you already look.

What Epic Games does with the email

Why a throwaway inbox is the wrong tool

How to do it

  1. Press Create in Altcloak and name it, like "Epic 2". You get an address ending in @altcloak.com.
  2. Open epicgames.com and choose Sign in, then Sign up. Paste the address in.
  3. Epic emails a code. It goes to your main email, from the alt address. Enter it.
  4. Turn on two-factor in Epic's account settings. The email codes keep coming to your main email.

The one-click way

Instead of another Gmail, Altcloak gives you an alt email in a click, ending in @altcloak.com. Paste it into the sign-up form. Codes go to your main email, and Altcloak remembers which alt the address belongs to, with the password if you want.

Questions

Is a second Epic account allowed?

Owning two accounts is fine. Using one to get around a ban is not, on Epic's side or ours.

Can I link the same PlayStation or Xbox to both?

No. Epic links one console account to one Epic account. The email is not the limit there.

Does the alt email cost anything?

Altcloak is free for 5 alt emails, with no card needed. Paid plans add more.
